Society guide
With most collecting in this world you will find  groups ( societies) that are made of people that like the same items and work together to make collecting of the items better and fun.

Insectivorous plants Societies are in most parts of the world.

There is an International carnivorous plants society, but based in the US with no international committee members. It has good journals and has international meetings which are held all around the world. Also it's one of the bodies that name new plants.

The Carnivorous Plants Society is UK based society and is second oldest in the world and has world based membership. It at had the worlds biggest seed bank, still very good. Which is open to members. You get four newsletters & a journal in year. it also has one the best meetings list each year with meetings to see private and public collections and plant swaps. It's also joins with other European societies to take turns in having the E.E.E meeting.

US has a number of area societies all have great local meetings and work hard to make joining them fun.

Europe has a number of societies too as I have said above.

Other counties around the world also have groups to join.

If  you get into these plants I would say join the International and The Carnivorous Plant Society and then your local society.
